Meet your librarian


I am Kim Fuisting, the librarian for the Lowell Elementary Library. I have been working with students in the Boise School District since 2006. This may paint a picture of me as someone who goes around with a pocket full of Werthers Originals, but I am actually someone who still does cartwheels with the kids. I believe our students should have the opportunity to grow their love for books in an inviting, inclusive atmosphere. Our library offers something for everyone.

The Library Services program provides an adaptive "in-between" space where students connect classroom learning to personal passion. We foster a lifelong love of literacy and provide a safe, supportive environment for students to explore, fail, try again, and grow.
