Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thank you for a wonderful school year! I am so excited for our 6th graders as they embark on a new journey, though we will miss them next year. I hope you all have a fun, relaxing and safe summer. We look forward to seeing our returning Leopards in August!

Lowell Office Information
Our office opens on July 31. If you need immediate assistance during the summer, please contact the district office at 854-4000.

26/27-Enrollment
If you will not be returning next year to Lowell, please print, fill out, and return the withdrawal form. Copies are also available in the office if you would like to stop in and fill out the form.

Lost and Found
Items will be out on racks at front entrance. Please stop by and take a look to claim any missing items. All items remaining will be donated on June 5.

Yearbooks
Students received their yearbooks this week. Each student gets a yearbook free of charge thanks to PTSA. PTSA needs a new yearbook lead to help organize and assemble the incredible year of memories. Please reach out to the PTSA if you are willing!

Report Cards
Teachers will send home report cards and year end testing reports today! Please look for those in your child's backpack.

Substitutes
We are always looking for substitutes to keep our students learning and safe at school when teachers and support staff are out. If you are interested in serving in this role, we would love to have you. Please see the link to apply!

Team up with your child’s best friend’s family and become garden caretakers for a week this summer! Spend a couple cool mornings or evenings weeding and reaping the harvest of the school garden during your week, and then head out for a free scoop of ice cream generously donated by MJ’s Italian Ice! Volunteers will also receive a free pass to the Idaho Botanical Gardens.
Volunteers will be equipped with a family-friendly gardening guide filled with info on weeds and harvesting, garden games, and recipes. For questions or to sign-up for an open week, contact Audrey.Gabrielli@boiseschools.org.

As always, I appreciate your ongoing support. Please reach out with questions or concerns. Thank you for a great school year!

Lowell PTSA Updates

A Note From our PTSA Board

End of Year PTSA Letter

Dear Lowell Families -

The PTSA board extends its gratitude to everyone for making this a phenomenal 2026-2027 school year.  The goal of Lowell's PTSA is to foster connections between students, families, and staff. While we did not have a large scale project this year, we supported many small but impactful programs.
While it's not all about fundraising, this year we raised $60,000. This was enough to cover our planned expenses for the 2027-2028 school year and put anything left over directly back into the school.
Thanks for your generous donations, fundraising efforts and volunteering, PTSA did a lot to support Lowell's students and staff this year!
  • Supported Lowell's teachers by providing a total of $12,300 towards classroom enrichment, divided between all teachers & speciality programs.
  • Sponsored field trips for students to get off campus and dive deeper into learning.
  • Came together for a Free Family Bingo night at the Shrine Social club, Hoedown, Carnival, and Steelheads Hockey family night is back!
  • Fulfilled a teacher request for a clay slab roller to compliment Lowell’s pottery kiln for student art projects.
  • Provided funds for school assemblies including Idaho Theater for Youth and the Summerwind Skippers jump rope team.
  • Designed & sponsored the Yearbook, so no Lowell family will need to pay for this.
  • Continued to purchase Lowell Leopard t-shirts to welcome kindergarteners, new students and staff.
  • Provided monthly potlucks to our amazing teachers who work so hard helping our kids.
  • Developed & distributed the Lowell School Directory to build social connections with students & families.
  • Supported with funds for STEM night, Garden, Read Week, and supplemental Educational subscriptions like Mystery Science,
  • Upcoming projects this summer include a refresh to the paint on the United States map on the school blacktop and adding a splash of Lowell Leopard Pride to the fence with put-in-cups.

Moving forward, PTSA plans to continue our annual traditions like the Kindergarten Social with Popsicles in the Park for incoming Kindergartners & their families, Coffee in the Courtyard on the First Day of School, the Spring Carnival and other events throughout the year.

As parents, we are aware of the toll that having children has on our calendars & wallets. That is why the Lowell PTSA has committed to our two major fundraising events: the F.U.N. Run in the fall and the Lowell Auction in the spring. We appreciate your commitment and support during those events helping to raise funds to support Lowell.

PTSA is not possible without our amazing volunteers. Thank you to all of you who donated money, acted as a committee chair, served on a committee, stepped up for a small project, attended a PTSA sponsored event, made or donated food or even worked as the set up / tear down crew. Our goal next year is to strengthen and expand our membership and involvement in PTSA. We hope you join us!

Gratefully,
The PTSA Board
